On Thursday afternoon, a railway accident occurred in Botoșani County, according to the announcement made by the Romanian Police's Infotrafic Center.

Rail traffic is halted on railway section 608, in the area of the locality Albești, due to this incident.

Authorities estimate that traffic will resume under normal conditions after 2:30 PM.
