Prosecutors are carrying out eight searches in Timisoara and Constanta in connection with the theft of 10 million lei from the Timisoara Post Office in June. The thieves managed to escape initially, but one was caught during a routine check. Although the damage was recovered, the investigation is now targeting the security procedures of the Romanian Post Office. The authorities are continuing the search for the accomplices.
