On Tuesday afternoon, the ISU Timiș firefighters intervened at Huniade Castle in Timișoara, where they were requested for a pyrotechnic mission. On site, the crew identified 7 inert defensive hand grenades, without explosives, and 7 pieces of ammunition, all dating from World War II. The discovery was made following archaeological excavations carried out in the castle area. The unexploded ammunition was safely collected and transported to be destroyed later, thus ensuring public safety and preventing potential incidents.
