Drivers from Bihor organized a protest on Friday evening in Marghita, unhappy with the rising fuel prices. They symbolically fueled with gasoline and diesel worth 2 lei, marched in a column on the streets, and honked for minutes in a row, shouting "10 lei for diesel".

In Bucharest, the price of standard diesel reached 9.88 lei per liter, while standard gasoline was at 9.17 lei, with recent increases of up to 15 bani per liter. The protest was organized online, and the drivers wanted to draw the authorities' attention to the difficult-to-manage prices. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan rejected the idea of capping prices, arguing that it could lead to shortages and that solutions need to be well thought out to avoid economic imbalances.
