Cristian Pistol, the general director of CNAIR, announced significant progress in the construction of the complex road junction at Boița, Sibiu County, part of the Sibiu-Făgăraș Highway. Although the weather conditions are difficult, approximately 300 workers and over 75 machines are active on the site. Currently, work is being done on drilling the foundations and excavation.

The project includes a section of 14.2 km, which connects A13 (Sibiu-Făgăraș), A1 (Pitești-Sibiu) and DN7, and provides for the construction of 6 viaducts and 17 bridges, with a contract of 1.89 billion lei signed with the Turkish contractor MAKYOL. The works began in November 2025, and the completion of the entire highway, measuring 68.04 km, is scheduled for 2028.
