The Arad City Hall has postponed the reception of the new cable-stayed bridge due to visible deformations, with a cost of 165 million lei. The remediation will involve dismantling some elements and reducing the weight by up to 1,500 tons. Mayor Călin Bibarț stated that the works will begin immediately, and the bridge could be opened in December, although it was initially planned for summer. The State Inspectorate in Construction has fined the contractor for identified deficiencies. The project is part of a broader plan to modernize the transport infrastructure in Arad.
