Valentin Borbel, the parish priest from Șuncuiuș, was detained for continuous sexual assault against a girl, starting from 2023. The abuses lasted for two years, and the case was opened in February 2025. Although he was proposed for preventive arrest, the court decided to place him under judicial control for 60 days, prohibiting him from leaving the county or approaching the victim.
