Radu Miruță, the interim Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, stated that the security situation at the Port of Constanța is serious and has instructed the Board of Administration to develop an emergency plan within 15 days. This plan aims to improve security at the three critical points at the port entrance from the sea, with implementation estimated in three months.

Miruță emphasized the importance of collaboration between institutions, requesting access for the Romanian Intelligence Service and the Ministry of Defense to the port's monitoring system, to prevent any omissions. He also highlighted issues related to exceeding weight limits on the A2 highway, where 15,000 cases were identified in one month. The Minister requested a protocol between CNAIR, ISCTR, and ANAF to ensure effective monitoring of vehicle weights. These measures are essential to ensure the security and efficiency of port operations.
