A police officer at the IPJ Constanța was sentenced to 3 years in prison with suspension for bribery, admitting his wrongdoing.

Florin Simineanu, a police officer from the Environmental Crime Investigation Service of the IPJ Constanța, was caught in flagrant in November 2025, receiving 5,000 euros to not sanction a company for the irregularities found during an inspection. After admitting to the act, the DNA prosecutors filed a request with the court for a plea agreement. Simineanu was sentenced to 3 years in prison with a suspended sentence, having a supervision period of 3 years.


Additionally, he was prohibited from exercising certain public rights for 4 years. He agreed to perform 60 days of unpaid community service. The case was forwarded to the Constanța Tribunal for validation.
