A police officer from Caraș-Severin was assaulted during the intervention to a 112 call. One of the assailants, 24 years old, was detained for outrage.

On March 8, 2026, a police officer from Reșița was assaulted while responding to an emergency call to 112, in which a woman reported that she was being assaulted by several individuals. The police crew arrived quickly at the scene, but during the intervention, two young men, aged 19 and 24, attacked an officer. Authorities announced that, following the evidence gathered, the prosecutor ordered the detention of the 24-year-old for 24 hours, being accused of assaulting a police officer and disturbing public order. He was placed in the Center for Detention and Preventive Arrest, and investigations continue under the supervision of police officers and prosecutors.
