In Sibiu, several parents accuse three police officers of having assaulted eight middle school students, interrogating them at school under the threat of violence. The officers were looking for suspects in the theft of the church's donation box and used harsh methods, including beatings and humiliation, to force the children to confess. Parents reported that the students, aged between 13 and 15, were taken one by one into an unmonitored room, where they were physically and psychologically assaulted.

The school principal stated that he was not informed about these interrogations and that the officers did not allow the presence of an adult. Following the parents' complaints, the three police officers are now being investigated for abusive conduct and violence. The leadership of IPJ Sibiu announced that the investigations will be completed within a week.
