PNL Deputy Alexandru Muraru stated that PSD and AUR have a detailed plan for capturing power in Romania by 2028, starting with the recent motion of censure. He claims that political information and behind-the-scenes discussions suggest a rapprochement between the two parties, aimed at influencing future governmental configurations.
Muraru believes that the motion of censure represents a first step in a broader coordination process, aiming to unify the "sovereignist" and "statist" electorate. The plan includes successive stages, starting with the installation of a minority PSD government tacitly supported by AUR, followed by the formalization of a political alliance. In 2028, a suspension of the President and the organization of simultaneous elections are anticipated, with the goal of obtaining a stable constitutional majority. Muraru warns that this process could lead to a profound reconfiguration of the Romanian state, with negative effects on reforms and the modernization of the country.
