The president of PNL, Ilie Bolojan, announced after the first meeting of the new leadership, two solutions for the current governmental crisis, both involving a minority government.
PNL refuses to support Adrian Veștea's government, which does not have a clear majority, "PNL will not support such a solution, and the recommendation for parliamentary groups is to leave the room during the vote," said Ilie Bolojan, recently reaffirmed as president of PNL. Bolojan emphasized the need for a "national pact" between parties to ensure commitments for a period of 6 months, including the assumption of PNRR reforms by July 15 and maintaining budgetary balances.
President Nicușor Dan will have to choose between a minority PSD government or one formed by PNL, USR, and UDMR. PNL commits not to submit a motion of censure if PSD respects the terms of the pact. Bolojan emphasized that a government formed under the current conditions cannot have a stable future. The two options will be presented to Nicușor Dan to facilitate the unblocking of the political crisis.
