At the extraordinary Congress of PNL on Sunday, Ilie Bolojan is expected to propose a leadership team made up of Dan Motreanu, Oana Gheorghiu, and Dragoș Pîslaru, along with other liberal leaders, according to Digi24 sources.
Ciprian Ciucu, the mayor of the Capital, announced that he will not run for the position of first vice-president due to a criminal case opened against him, in which he is accused of corruption. Although he was initially supported for this position, Ciucu decided that PNL must have an impeccable leadership.
Dan Motreanu is now in the running to take over the position of first vice-president, while Oana Gheorghiu and Dragoș Pîslaru recently joined the party. The vote for the PNL leadership will be conducted in a block, without separate votes for each position. The congress will take place at Romexpo, and the deadline for submitting candidacies expires on Saturday, June 20.
