A local PNL councilor from Mogoșești has been detained for human trafficking and forced labor. PNL Iași immediately expelled him from the party.

Dragoș Florin Doloi, local councilor of PNL in the Iasi commune of Mogoșești, was detained along with his brother for the exploitation of two individuals in degrading conditions. The leadership of PNL Iași decided to expel him from the party, emphasizing that it will not tolerate such acts.

The investigation, conducted by DIICOT, revealed that between 2021 and 2023, the two men recruited victims by inducing them into error, promising them better working conditions. The victims were housed in inhumane conditions, without access to electricity or running water, and forced to work without pay, without days off, and under strict control. If they attempted to escape, they were pursued and brought back by force. The two men are to be presented to the court with a proposal for arrest.
