The Municipality of Bucharest (PMB) announces its intention to pedestrianize and regenerate the streets Edgar Quinet and Biserica Enei, involving students from the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism. They are invited to participate in a call for ideas for the reconfiguration of the public space between the educational institution and the University of Bucharest. The first five selected projects will be awarded 2,500 lei each, and the winning ideas will form the basis of the final arrangement project. PMB emphasizes that students will gain experience and financial rewards, while the authorities will capitalize on the innovative proposals. Additionally, the Municipality has informed about the progress of the rehabilitation works of the University Palace, which is nearing completion, and Mayor Ciprian Ciucu had a meeting with the rector of the University of Bucharest to coordinate the future rehabilitation stages with the pedestrianization project. A new technical meeting is scheduled after Easter to establish the details and timeline of the works.
