The petitioners accuse the CSM of intimidation actions, including a criminal complaint against Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu, and of a lack of response to controversial court decisions that favored corruption. They believe that the CSM has become an instrument of intimidation for those who contest special pensions.

Furthermore, it is emphasized that judges from the Courts of Appeal have a duty to vote for the removal of Elena Costache to protect the integrity of justice. Reactions to the CSM's announcement regarding the criminal complaint have been mixed, with supporters of the initiative and critics who consider the action unfounded. President Nicușor Dan stated that he will not support any request for approval of criminal prosecution in the case of Oana Gheorghiu, considering the CSM's reaction exaggerated.
