The European Businesswomen's Association (PEFA) will launch the Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership Index on March 11, 2026, during the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest. This analysis will assess the evolution of women's participation in entrepreneurship and leadership in Romania, highlighting the progress and existing barriers. The Index aims to stimulate dialogue between institutions and the business environment, promoting policies that support the increase of women's participation in the economy.

Andreea Negru, president of PEFA, emphasized that this strategic tool will highlight the untapped economic potential of women, while Lorena Stoian added that women in Romania are not only building businesses but also changing mindsets. The event will bring together representatives from public administration, the business environment, and civil society, promoting an ecosystem conducive to the development of female entrepreneurship.
