Roxana Pîntea, senior director of corporate affairs at Philip Morris Romania, stated on Tuesday, at the launch of the NewMoney-INSCOP Entrepreneurs Barometer, that attracting new investments must be a priority for both the Government and the business community. She emphasized that maintaining investments already underway is equally important, warning that international turmoil and uncertainty surrounding domestic economic policies could affect companies operating in Romania.
Pîntea called for greater commitment, responsibility, and dialogue with a view to 2027. She noted that Philip Morris Romania ranks 13th among the country's largest exporters and is the only tobacco company in the top 20.
The barometer was conducted by INSCOP Research at the request of New Money magazine. The survey took place between October 19 and 26, 2026, through telephone interviews, on a sample of 1,100 entrepreneurs representative of the business community with companies in Romania. The initiative analyzes entrepreneurs' perceptions of Romania's economy, public services, the development of their own businesses, and relations with the European Union and the Republic of Moldova.
