A 76-year-old pastor from Zalău was attacked and stabbed by a suspect who claimed to have been driven by a divine thought. The aggressor was quickly caught and detained for attempted murder.

A 76-year-old pastor was the victim of an attempted murder, having been stabbed multiple times in the neck area by an individual who claimed that a divine thought pushed him to commit the act. The incident occurred after the suspect, seen walking near the pastor's house, tried to talk to him but was refused. After the pastor attempted to enter his house, the assailant followed him, pulled out a knife, and attacked him, continuing to strike even after the victim fell to the ground.

The pastor's wife intervened, but she was also struck. Neighbors, alerted by the desperate screams, intervened, and the suspect fled in a car. He was quickly caught in a nearby commune. The pastor was transported to the hospital and stabilized, while the suspect was detained and is to be presented to the magistrates with a proposal for preventive arrest.
