The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bucharest will organize on Sunday, March 29, 2026, the Palm Sunday procession in the center of Bucharest, an event dedicated to celebrating the entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.


The procession will start at 14:45 from "Fer. Vladimir Ghika" Square, next to the French Church, and will end at St. Joseph Cathedral, where the Holy Liturgy will be presided over by His Eminence Aurel Percă.



Participants will move in the first lane of traffic both on Aviatorilor Boulevard and on Victory Avenue, and road traffic will be restricted on:


-Captain Demetriade Street, between Aviatorilor Boulevard and Emil Pangratti Street – in the first lane of traffic, between 14:30 – 15:30


-General Berthelot Street, gradually, depending on the arrival of participants at St. Joseph Cathedral.


Authorities recommend that participants follow the instructions of traffic police and drive with caution, while pedestrians are advised to use the sidewalks and cross only at specially designated places.
