The Natural Disaster Insurance Pool (PADROM) is warning property owners about fraudulent messages sent in the company’s name, urging recipients to verify their PAD insurance policy by accessing a link and entering personal data.
The company states that the messages are phishing attempts and were not sent by PADROM. The company’s systems have not been compromised, and no personal data breach has been recorded.
Recipients are advised not to access the links, enter their personal identification number (CNP), banking details or other personal information, reply to the messages, or download the attached documents. They should also check the sender’s address and the website domain.
For information about the PAD insurance policy, verification should be carried out directly, from a browser, on the PADROM website or by contacting the insurer that issued the policy. People who accessed the link should close the page. If personal data was provided, the incident can be reported to DNSC by calling 1911 or through the PNRISC platform. In the case of banking details, the bank must be contacted immediately.
