The Municipal Company Termoenergetica Bucharest announced that, from October 27 to 31, over 500 apartment blocks in sectors 2, 4, 5, and 6 will remain without heating and hot water due to repair works on the primary thermal network. The most affected areas include Bulevardul Basarabia (79 blocks), Șoseaua Ștefan cel Mare and Bulevardul Lacul Tei (102 blocks), Șoseaua Pantelimon (98 blocks), Bulevardul Alexandru Obregia (106 blocks), and Strada Sg. Nițu Vasile (95 blocks).

The works target pipes that are between 38 and 62 years old, the oldest being from 1963. Termoenergetica emphasized that the deadlines for resuming operations are estimated and depend on the condition of the pipes, which will be assessed after the construction sites are opened.
