The control was carried out on August 8, 2025 by a joint team of customs inspectors and border guards on a vessel flagged Saint Kitts and Nevis, coming from Ukraine. The goods, hidden in the ship's hold, included 14,800 cigarettes, 32 bottles of whisky and 15 cases of beer. They were seized and investigations are ongoing to document the criminal activity.
