<p>The citadel of Orăștiei, documented since 1544, underwent an extensive restoration project four years ago and is now available for public visits. This fortification, built around 1300, underwent significant changes in the 16th and 17th centuries. Located in the center of the municipality, the fortress is a symbol of local history and was originally a rectangular enclosure with towers and moats.
