The Ministry of Education of Romania announced that, on January 12, students and preschoolers from six counties will conduct online classes due to unfavorable weather conditions, including snowfall and frost. The affected counties are Argeș, Arad, Dolj, Gorj, Olt, and Timiș, where approximately 2,200 students and preschoolers will stay home. Additionally, in three other educational institutions in Argeș, Bistrița-Năsăud, and Olt, teaching activities will be temporarily suspended for about 100 students, with classes to be made up later. The situation is dynamic and will be updated based on the weather developments, which are expected to improve only from Thursday, January 15. Meteorologists predict a rise in temperatures and possible rain in the upcoming period.
