OMV Petrom will develop four photovoltaic parks in Ișalnița, Tismana, and Rovinari, with a total installed capacity of approximately 550 MW, with an estimated completion in 2026. The total investment value exceeds 400 million euros, of which 70% is financed by the Modernization Fund. The projects are carried out in partnership with CE Oltenia, each holding a 50% stake.

The energy produced will cover the annual consumption of about 410,000 households, contributing to national and European climate objectives. OMV Petrom also supports the RenewAcad program, which has retrained over 200 mining technicians into solar system installers, as part of Romania's energy transition efforts. OMV Petrom is the largest integrated energy producer in Southeast Europe, with a refining capacity of 4.5 million tons annually.
