Iulian Cârlogea, the public administrator of Sector 5, alongside chief architect Bașca Robert-Mihai and deputy director of the local police Chioran Florin, have been placed under judicial control by the Bucharest Tribunal. They are accused by prosecutors of receiving tens of thousands of euros in bribes from two businessmen to expedite the issuance of documents necessary for the construction of a building, which was being carried out without complying with the legislation.
At the same time, the Social Liberal Humanist Party (PUSL), led by Vasile Voiculescu, organized a congress in Ploiești, where Cârlogea was appointed vice president in absentia. The tribunal rejected the DNA's proposal for preventive arrest, ordering judicial control for a period of 60 days, starting from February 7, 2026. The defendants will be released if they are not recharged in other cases.
