Oana Ţoiu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, stated that the invitation from President Nicușor Dan to join the board for peace, extended by American President Donald Trump, was received with joy. This involves future steps in the peace process in Gaza Strip, in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Romania, having a history of diplomatic relations with both parties, will continue to engage, including through humanitarian aid, alongside the United States and other countries in the Middle East. However, Oana Ţoiu emphasized that a legal component requires clarifications from the USA, being a subject of analysis not only for Romania but also for other European states.
