Oana Ţoiu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that Romania also proposes to keep energy prices under control, considering the impact of the war in the Middle East. Ţoiu mentioned that the Prime Minister is discussing with oil producers to ensure price stability. Additionally, Romania was the first to call on the rescEU mechanism to assist citizens affected by the conflict.
Moreover, Romania will also strengthen its defense capabilities in collaboration with the USA, already having an anti-missile shield. Ţoiu will reaffirm Romania's commitment to de-escalation in Brussels, while also advocating for the acceleration of Ukraine's and Moldova's European integration. On the margins of the meeting, Ţoiu will discuss with the Indian Foreign Minister about the EU-India Free Trade Agreement, highlighting the economic benefits for Romania. After the meeting, Ţoiu will return to Bucharest to support the MFA budget project before the parliamentary committees.
