Net salaries for employees with 15 years of seniority are 6,300 lei, while new starters earn between 3,400 and 4,500 lei. By 2024, cuts in bonuses had affected 40% of staff, generating discontent. Țoiu promised a review of the controversial secondments and emphasized the need for reforms to justify a higher budget allocation, given that the MFA has only 0.08% of GDP.
