Nicuşor Dan will not participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos. Oana Ţoiu will represent Romania.

Nicușor Dan will not participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos, scheduled between January 19 and 23, 2026. In his place, Romania will be represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Țoiu, and presidential advisor Radu Burnete. At this forum, important leaders such as Donald Trump, Ursula von der Leyen, and Volodymyr Zelensky will meet to discuss major global issues.

It is expected that Zelensky will sign a significant trade agreement with Trump, worth 800 billion dollars, for the reconstruction of Ukraine. The Davos Forum annually brings together political and economic leaders to address global challenges and establish partnerships, serving as a global hub for shaping international policies and strategies.
