Nicușor Dan convened a meeting today in Constanța to analyze the incident with the Ukrainian maritime drone.

President Nicușor Dan is today, June 6, in Constanța, where he has convened a working meeting to discuss the incident caused by Ukrainian marine drones that exploded in the Port of Constanța and in the Black Sea. The meeting will start at 12:00, at the headquarters of the 243rd Radioelectronic Brigade and Observation 'CALATIS', and will include representatives of national security institutions.

The Presidential Administration announced that during the meeting, the circumstances of the incident, the implications for national security, and the necessary measures to strengthen response capabilities to threats in the Black Sea area will be analyzed.

The drone that exploded is part of a group of four Ukrainian drones, over which the Ukrainian Army lost control due to Russian interference. The explosion occurred a week after a similar incident involving a Russian drone in Galați. After the meeting, Nicușor Dan will hold a press statement.
