President-elect Nicușor Dan has said that consultations with political parties to form the new government will start on Monday afternoon or Tuesday and will last between two and four weeks. He will take the oath of investiture at noon on Monday. Dan said that although society wants new people in the government, the evaluation of the current ministers will be done individually. On the budget deficit, he has identified areas for spending cuts, but will discuss details after consultations. He tempered fears about European funds, highlighting the risks of not getting the money from the NRRP. He also ruled out raising VAT on basic foodstuffs. Education will be a priority after government formation.
