The malls in Bucharest reduce energy consumption during peak hours, amid pressure on the grid.

Several malls in Bucharest are adjusting their energy consumption in the context of high pressure on the national energy system. At Promenada Bucharest and Mega Mall, the operating hours of the air conditioning systems have been modified, and at Mega Mall, the measures have reduced the network demand by approximately 4 MW per day, according to the company NEPI Rockcastle. Similar measures have also been announced by CPI Romania, in the context where authorities have recommended voluntary reduction of consumption between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM, when the energy demand is higher.
