The producer Negro 2000 SRL has withdrawn a batch of herring roe salad with onion from Profi stores due to the Listeria monocytogenes bacteria.

The producer Negro 2000 SRL has initiated a voluntary recall of the product 'Fishing Snacks - Caviar Salad with Herring and Onion' of 70 g, batch 1363PB, with an expiration date of June 25, 2026, from Profi stores. This measure was announced on Friday by the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) on social media, following the detection of the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes in the product.

Consumers who have purchased the salad are advised not to consume it and to return it to any Profi store, where they will receive a full refund based on the receipt. The product was sold in Profi stores in the counties of Prahova, Giurgiu, Teleorman, Călărași, Dâmbovița, Buzău, Argeș, Ialomița, and Brăila, and the recall aims to protect consumer health.
