The National Environmental Guard has issued 52 fines worth 1,082,500 lei following controls in the Danube Delta, highlighting persistent problems related to waste management and poaching. Authorities reported illegal rearing of domestic animals, illegal water connections in the catering sector and dumping of wastewater without treatment. The Guard proposes integrated measures for the management of animal waste and highlights the illegal operation of some tourist accommodation establishments.
