The interim mayor of Bucharest, Stelian Bujduveanu, has announced that the National Arena will undergo major repairs, including the retractable roof, by 2026.

The National Arena, which has hosted numerous matches and events, is facing breakdowns, including the retractable roof and the display cube. Stelian Bujduveanu said that the repairs will be completed by 2026, noting that procedures have been signed for the expertise. Mayor Nicușor Dan's previous criticisms target the lack of maintenance during the terms of former mayors, which led to the deterioration of the infrastructure.
