The authorities in Prahova County announce that they are working to put into operation a modular pulmonology hospital in Ploiești, built during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the unit is equipped with modern equipment purchased with European funds, it has remained unused due to bureaucratic issues.

The Prahova County Council recently obtained the urbanism certificate and the construction permit necessary to enter legality, and a new permit issued at the beginning of 2024 will allow the completion of the works. In addition, work is underway to create a new electrical connection and to purchase an oxygen storage unit, essential for the operation of the intensive care units. The authorities' objective is to activate the hospital as soon as possible, considering the need to rehabilitate the pulmonology department of the County Hospital.
