The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) declared that radar surveillance did not identify any drone that may have entered Romanian airspace before the incident in Bulgaria. This statement comes after Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev reported that a drone passed from Romania into Bulgaria, subsequently exploding in a sunflower field. The drone entered Bulgarian territory at 8:10 AM, without being detected by radar systems, according to official statements. MApN confirmed that, prior to the explosion, no suspicious aerial activities were recorded that would indicate a trajectory through Romania. The crash site is located near critical energy infrastructure, but no casualties or damages have been reported. Prime Minister Radev emphasized the importance of monitoring these incidents, considering the proximity to the compressor stations in both countries.
