Mircea Lucescu, at the age of 80, was urgently hospitalized in the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after his health condition deteriorated suddenly.
According to information provided by the University Hospital, Lucescu suffered from several severe cardiac arrhythmias, and doctors had to intervene urgently, resuscitating him three times. During the night, the arrhythmias became critical, and the medical team performed an angiography to check for possible blockages in the coronary arteries.
The hospital's statement mentioned that, despite treatment, the patient's condition worsened, requiring transfer to the ICU for constant monitoring.
The hospital requested respect for the patient's privacy and promised updates in case the situation changes.
