The Ministry of Labor has announced that it will review the eligibility criteria for pensions for people with disabilities, following suspicions of abuses and errors. Nearly 1 million Romanians benefit from these pensions, and minister Florin Manole pointed out that some criteria might be too permissive. Suspicious cases, such as several people with the same diagnosis appearing at the same time, will be analyzed. People with disabilities who legitimately benefit from their rights will not be affected by these checks.
