Mihail Kogălniceanu Airport in Constanța will be closed for civil air traffic for more than a day, between March 20, 2026, at 12:00, and March 21, 2026, at 19:30. The closure is not related to the American military base located at the airport, which is used for operations in the Middle East, but is described by airport representatives as a "technical matter." During this period, military aircraft, including those dedicated to search and rescue missions, medical evacuations, and air policing, will continue to operate at the airport.
