The subway circulation is interrupted between the 1 Mai and Jiului stations. Metrorex announces a technical problem.

The circulation of subway trains on Line 4 is temporarily interrupted between the 1 Mai and Jiului stations for more than an hour and a half, after Metrorex representatives stopped traffic in the area starting at 1:20 PM.

The restriction was imposed during the execution of the interconnection works between Line 4 and the future Line 6, at which point the intervention teams identified an unforeseen technical problem. Currently, the malfunction is being remedied, but the resumption of normal traffic will only be possible after the completion of all safety checks.

Since the incident was triggered and up to this moment, traffic on Line 4 is exclusively operating in a pendulum system on the routes Gara de Nord 2 – 1 Mai (round trip) and Jiului – Străulești (round trip). Representatives of the transport authority periodically inform passenger flows about this situation through the sound systems in the stations, and will publicly announce the moment when trains will return to the normal schedule.
