The dismissed government, led by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, has prepared a regulatory act through which the state companies Societatea de Administrare a Participațiilor în Energie (SAPE) and Electrocentrale Grup will merge. SAPE, which will take over Electrocentrale Grup, is fully controlled by the Ministry of Energy. This merger aims to consolidate activities and streamline the management of energy resources.

The decision comes in the context of a reorganization of the energy sector, considering the challenges faced by the industry. Through this measure, better coordination and utilization of available resources are sought, for the benefit of consumers and the national economy.
