The government has approved filling vacant positions and increasing staff numbers at Romgaz, Nuclearelectrica Serv and Hidroserv, companies in the energy sector, amid the expansion of activities and the implementation of strategic projects in 2026.
At Nuclearelectrica Serv, 53 vacant positions existing at the end of 2025 will be filled gradually. The number of employees will increase from 718 to 771, while the financial impact is estimated at 1.6 million lei. The measure is justified by the implementation of 22 contracts necessary for the operation of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant and ensuring nuclear safety. The expenses will be covered entirely from the company’s own revenues.
In the case of Romgaz, the Executive has approved filling 270 vacant positions and increasing the staff by 860 employees. The decision supports the Neptun Deep, Caragele, Moldova Nord, Bozoni and Herăstrău projects, the commissioning of the Iernut power plant and the takeover of Azomureș’s operations. The total financial impact is estimated at 61.2 million lei.
Hidroserv will fill 102 vacant positions and increase its staff by a further 92 positions, without salary increases. The measure targets maintenance, modernization and refurbishment works, including at Stejaru and Porțile de Fier II. The cost of the additional staff is estimated at 2.6 million lei, financed from the company’s revenues.
