MedLife takes over the MEDSTAR clinic group from Cluj and strengthens the Sfânta Maria medical network in Transylvania

MedLife, the largest network of private medical services in Romania, has announced the completion of the acquisition of the MEDSTAR clinic group from Cluj-Napoca, a provider with a tradition in outpatient and paraclinical medical services.

The transaction, initially announced in June 2025, was completed on January 29, 2026, after all necessary conditions were met. With the integration of MEDSTAR into the Sfânta Maria network, MedLife strengthens its presence in Transylvania and expands patient access to medical services under the CAS regime.

Dorin Preda, Deputy General Director of the MedLife Group, emphasized the importance of this acquisition for the development of the Sfânta Maria brand and the commitment to providing accessible and quality services.

MEDSTAR, founded in 2004, operates four clinics, a laboratory, and imaging services, having a team of over 200 specialists. The management of MEDSTAR will remain alongside the local team to ensure operational continuity and integration into the Sfânta Maria network.
