MedLife has announced two strategic initiatives for its next stage of development: a potential capital increase of up to 20% and the establishment of a regional investment platform alongside an international financial institution. The company aims to strengthen its position in Romania and expand into Central and Eastern Europe, with a focus on the Balkan region.

The capital increase could be carried out within up to 18 months, if approved by shareholders and justified by market conditions and investment opportunities. The funds would support organic growth, investments in medical infrastructure and market-consolidation transactions.

The regional platform would invest gradually, over a three- to five-year period, in companies operating in healthcare, prevention and wellness. MedLife is considering acquisitions, greenfield projects and partnerships in Romania, Hungary, the Republic of Moldova and other markets in the region. The first investments are expected in the first half of next year, following an assessment of the risks, regulations and profitability of each project.
