The Clever Media Group has announced the full acquisition of Doğan Media International S.A., the company that operates the Kanal D and Kanal D2 television channels, Radio Impuls, and several digital platforms in Romania. The announcement was made by Orlando Nicoară, a representative of the group, in a social media post.
The transaction is being carried out through Romanian Content Project S.R.L., owned by Clever Media Network S.R.L. and EAD.RO Interactive S.R.L. The agreement to transfer all shares was signed with Doğan Media Invest BV and DHI Investment. The value of the transaction was not officially disclosed.
Through this acquisition, Clever Media is expanding its portfolio, which already includes 18 television channels, including Prima TV, Prima News, and Prima Sport, as well as the Profit.ro and PrimaPlay.ro platforms.
Completion of the transaction depends on approval from the competent authorities. Until the procedures are concluded, the operations, teams, and brands of Doğan Media International will continue to operate within the current structure, without interruption.
