Hundreds of people gathered on Monday evening in Victory Square, in front of the Government headquarters, to express their support for Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, after the PSD decided to withdraw its political support for him. Former Minister of Transport Radu Berceanu, who also attended the protest, was booed and removed from the square by gendarmes.
Former Minister of Transport Radu Berceanu also made his appearance in Victory Square on Monday evening. He was taken out of the crowd by gendarmes after some of the protesters booed him and chanted "Thieves".
While the gendarmes were escorting Berceanu, protester Marian Ceaușescu reportedly shouted: "Get out! You stole, man! You stole for 36 years!". In a moment of tension, Berceanu tried to approach the protester but was stopped by the gendarmes.
